Chadwick Westlake has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Equitable Bank (“EQB”) since November 2020, the 7th largest publicly traded bank in Canada. In this capacity, he oversees an array of responsibilities including corporate development and strategy, investor relations, treasury and capital markets, capital management, financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, tax and legal matters, project delivery, process enhancement, and ESG strategy.

Chadwick has deep experience in the banking industry and also held several prominent positions over more than 18 years at Scotiabank, where he established a commendable reputation for his transformative leadership style and his ability to drive substantial business outcomes. His professional journey spanned across the major business divisions of the bank as well as key corporate function roles in global risk management, operations and finance where he also served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Canadian Banking & Global Wealth Management division. Prior to joining EQB, he was the Executive Vice President, Enterprise Productivity & Canadian Banking Finance for Scotiabank where he was responsible for setting the strategy and implementation of global initiatives to reduce costs, accelerate revenue growth and redesign processes including through automation.

He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, a BA degree in Economics and Management Studies from the University of Waterloo and completed an Executive Program with The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
