Alex Adelaar is the Vice President, Shareholder Relations & Investments for Coril, where he actively contributes to family enterprise governance optimization. In addition to his primary responsibilities, Alex supports the Coril Group of Companies in the areas of investment management and capital allocation, corporate development and strategic planning.

Alex previously served as Co-Chair of the Business Families Foundation and is a past Board member of the Calgary chapter of Family Enterprise Canada (FEC). He joined the Family Business for Sustainable Development Steering Committee at FEC in 2021 and serves on the Investment Committee for the M-E Squared Foundation. He also assumed the roles of Director and Trustee for a private family entity.

Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and is a CFA Charterholder. He is also a Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) Designate and completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program in July 2020.
